BrowseHow to convert PNG to PDF
- Drop one or more PNG files on the box above. JPGs can be mixed in too.
- Use the arrows to put them in order.
- Choose a page size and click Create PDF.
Is the quality kept?
Yes. PNG is a lossless format, and FilesStay places the image into the PDF without turning it into a JPEG, so sharp edges in screenshots, charts and text stay sharp. Transparent areas are kept as transparent, which shows as white on a normal page.
The flip side: PNG photos can be large, and so will the PDF. If you need it smaller, run the result through Compress PDF, which can re-encode images as JPEG. For screenshots of text, the original PNG quality is usually worth keeping.
Which page size?
- Fit to image: the page is the shape of the image. Best for screenshots and on-screen reading.
- Letter or A4: the image is centered on a standard page with a margin. Best if it will be printed or attached to a form.
Common uses
- Saving a set of screenshots (receipts, confirmations, chat messages) as one file.
- Sending a diagram or design export to someone who asked for a PDF.
- Combining exported slides into a handout.
Everything runs in your browser. The images are not uploaded, there is no account, and there is no limit on how often you use it. Got JPGs as well? They can go into the same PDF; see JPG to PDF.
Questions
Can I convert several PNGs into one PDF?
Yes. Add them all and they become one PDF with one image per page.
Will the text in my screenshot be searchable?
No. The PDF holds the picture; this tool does not do OCR (text recognition).
